Halkapınar is one of the most distant districts in the east of Konya and 173 kilometers from the city center. Established on the northern feet of the Central Taurus Mountains, the district has an area of 362 km² and an altitude of about 1,100 meters. The district is nestled into the Taurus Mountain range.
